U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has expressed hope that the international tribunal to try suspects in the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Raik Hariri would soon be launched. "We hope the tribunal would begin as soon as possible," Ban said after meeting President Michel Suleiman on the sidelines of the Mediterranean summit in Paris on Sunday. "No date has yet been set" in the Hariri case, Ban said, stressing the need to finalize the Court's funding for the first two years.On the Shebaa Farms issue, Ban vowed to double his diplomatic efforts in a bid to reach a settlement to the disputed Shebaa Farms issue.
